Nails Of The Day: Essence Nail Polish in What Do U Think?

I was wearing Shellac for 20 days and I removed it only because my nails were growing, everything else looked perfect. And yesterday I’ve applied a new nail polish – Essence What Do U Think (#22) which is perfect for spring in my opinion.

I really like this pastel coral but it is kind of strange to see that my nails have a different colour after such a long time of being red.

The application is a bit streaky but looks nice with 2 coats as you can see from the photo above.

Nails Of The Day:Essence So Glamorous Nail Polish

Today I am wearing  this beautiful nail polish by Essence which is called So Glamorous.  This is  100% my colour, I love it! The quality is nice for the  price and I am happy with my purchase. I think the  small Essence nail polishes are great and I would like to get many more shades.

And what nail polish are you currently wearing? I want to get a pastel  yellow and a subtle lime green for Spring.

Nails Of The Day: Revlon Nail Polish in Revlon Red

Today I am wearing Revlon’s Revlon Red, which I had to get after seeing the swatches of it online, and I have mixed feeling about it. I like a lot of products from Revlon and I really wanted to like the nail polish, too, especailly after reading some great reviews.

So why do I have mixed feelings? First of all lets start with the positive things about it!

The colours are really beautiful and there are quite a lot to choose from. I have 2 Revlon nail polishes and they are both very beautiful! The colours are very pigmented and are opaque with only one layer (but two layers give a even better coverage).

Now this swatch is just UGLY! I know. But I just wanted to show what I mean by saying that I can’t manage to use this brush – the nail polish is all over the place as you can see and I can’t manage to paint my nails near the cuticle. But the colour however is stunning!  I am showing you only one nail because all the others look the same unfortunately.

And what I don’t like about it. For some reason Revlon nail polishes don’t stay for a long time on me even after I’ve used a Seche Vite top coat.  I am also not sure if I like the brush, maybe I just need to get used to it but that is obviously my personal preference. I am not saying that it’s a bad brush but for some reason I can’t use it without making a huge mess.

I will try to experiment with these nail polishes more and I really hope that they will stay on for a longer time. It is such a shame that it starts chipping on the second day as the colours are SO beautiful.

And for how long does the Revlon nail polish stay on your nails?

What are Your Favourite Nail Polish Shades?

So the question of the week was ” What are your favourite nail polish shades?!”.

Thank you everyone for taking a part! I really love when you share with us all!

This is  how my little brother painted the nails of his girl for the first time in his life.

You can see some black lines near the pastel and light shades because originally he used the black nail polish but then removed it (not completely as you can see).

Nails of the Day: GOSH Rainbow Nail Polish

I’ve wanted to get a  nail polish with such effect for a long time already so I was happy to find GOSH Rainbow. It is basically a clear nail polish with golden flakes. It looks amazing on dark nail polishes but nothing special on bare nails or pastel/light polishes.

I have to say that the effect is great when you apply a thin layer of nail polish. If you don’t  – you will get the effect that I got ( looks quite messy and untidy) and I can’t say that I like it. For some reason it also reminds me of leopard prints which I hate.

Anyway, this can be a great product if you can apply it the right way and you have  beautiful manicure. And, as you can see, I have mixed feelings about my manicure. Although my girlfriends say that they like it (maybe they just want to be nice lol).

Next time I will try to use it over the green or red nail polishes, should look great for Christmas! (Have you noticed that I use the word “Christmas” a lot lately?!)

And I obviously need to do something to make the length of my nails the same.

If you can’t find GOSH (a brand from Denmark) in your country, I know that Nubar makes a nail polish with similar effect.
