April 2013 Beauty Wish List: Makeup, Skincare and Hair Care

Believe it or not, but it actually took me hours and hours to complete this list, as I had to think carefully about what products I really want or what products I actually need.

This is not really a wish list, but more of a shopping list of the products that I plan to buy in the near future. Of course, I could add more, but I’ve decided to be very strict with myself so every item got on the list after a lot of consideration and is very covetable…

So here  is the list!

Makeup

1. Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette, £26

I have almost finished my Benefit eye pencil and I am definitely getting an Hourglass one next.

2. Matte Eye Shadows Palette

I can’t decide if I should get the Too Faced Matte Eye Shadow Collection (£24.57 from Beauty Bay) or theBalm Meet Matte ($42 from the brand’s website, but they are in the process of creating a European shop, as well).   I actually really love the eye shadow quality from both brands: Too Faced Natural Eye Palette Review and Swatches, theBalm Nude Tude Eye Shadows Palette Review and Swatches and the Balm Shady Lady Palette Vol.2 Review and Swatches so that’s a hard one.  I only wish Too Faced palette weren’t so bulky. Maybe I should get both?!

3. Cream Blusher

That is probably the last thing that I need, considering how many I have but I’ve decided that I can get one, as a treat for myself. After a lot of consideration, I’ve chosen Stila’s Stila Convertible Colour (I actually can’t believe that I still haven’t tried it!) I think I’ll get Rose or Lillium (£15.12 from Beauty Bay)

Skincare

Now this is the category of the products that I need. There are a lot of skincare products that I want  and the list is endless but these two, recommended by Caroline Hirons I plan to purchase very soon.

4. Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner, £25

I had it on my list anyway, but Caroline convinced me that I need it even more. And there are a lot of reasons for that, mostly because it’s a gentle exfoliator and who doesn’t love that?

5. Lamberts Pure Fish Oil 1100mg, 180 Capsules for £22.50

This is not exactly “skincare” but  skin benefits a lot from  fish oil, among other things.

6.SK-II Facial Treatment Mask – 10 Sheets, $125

This is something I’ve been wanting to try for ages and ages and will have to do it at some point to see if it lives up to the hype. It could be a different sheet  mask, I guess.

Also I am looking for a treatment that will help with some dark marks which are left after I’ve had some spots. As I never had such problem before, I had to consult with Caroline and she recommended the Peptabright to me.  If I don’t see any benefits from my new skincare regime, I’ll give it a go.

One more thing that I need is a new sunscreen for the face for summer but I haven’t chosen one just yet, I am thinking Institut Esthederm.

 Hair Care

I have been a bit obsessed with hair care products lately and have been browsing the “hair section” at various on-line shops for hours, no joke! Here are the things that caught my attention. I think that I will have to get them all (if I don’t see something new 😉 ). I would also like to get a nice hair mask but I’m not gonna choose it on my own as my hair dresser promised her help.

7. Peppermint & Avocado Clarifying Shampoo, £20

This is on top of my list, I love peppermint shampoos and need a new clarifying one. Plus it’s a best-seller from the brand. Anyway, I have high hopes for it!

8. Rahua Voluminous Duo Pack Shampoo and Conditionner, £12 for travel size

I wanted to try Rahua products for ages, will get the travel size when I run out of my L’Occitane duo.

9. Sachajuan Shine Serum, £21

I really loved my SachaJuan volumizing shampoo, so I want to explore other products from the brand. Shine Serum sounds like an amazing product!

10. Sachajuan Ocean Mist, £18

Now that my hair is shorter, I think that I would like to give this product a go, especially considering that it’s almost summer and sea salt spray seems like a very appropriate product!

Next time I will share what’s on my Body Care, Perfumes and Nails wish list.

  1. Oh you really NEED that Hourglass brow pencil! I have really sparse eyebrows (it’s genetic) but I was really scared of any brow pencils. Always used powder but it really wasn’t enough to create fuller brows that I think work better for my face. Entered the Hourglass Arch pencil, and I have well-defined and natural-looking eyebrows now! I’d repurchase the thing in a heartbeat!

    1. Hi Sunny,
Hourglass never disappoints. Happy to hear that you love that pencil so much, I’d get it a long time ago but I am waiting until it’s back in stock at Zuneta, as I try getting things from them when I can (to show my support).

  2. I haven’t tried the Too Faced Matte shadows but the Balm Matte palette is great. I have been using everyday since I purchased.

  3. I want a matte eyeshadow palette too. TheBalm and Too Faced palettes are options, as is the Stile In The Know palette.

Mattes seem much more flexible than shimmery shades.
