While I usually love the sea salt hair sprays, this time I’ve decided to try a volumising mist without the I’ve-just-been-surfing-or-swimming-in-the-sea kind of effect.
Not gonna lie, I was probably mostly drawn to the stylish glass bottle and a cool modern design. I also like the sleek pump and the pistachio green label, with simple gold and black writing. I am describing the look of the product in such a detail as I firmly believe that, when it comes to high-end beauty, everything about it should bring joy. And this is clearly the case.
As for the product itself, I
I had a relatively long hair and my natural colour for years (here is a photo). And… a) I have a lot of hair but it is thin and doesn’t look that good b)I had the same, more or less, length for years and years; plus I did not colour it so I got very bored, as I used to change my hair style all the time in the past.
This is why back in February I’ve asked to chop off all the thin and damaged hair, so I ended up with a shoulder length hair style. It was a big change but once I was over a slight shock, I knew that I was ready for more experiments. This is why last week, I changed my hair style completely, and I even had it coloured for the first time in years.
It is nothing too dramatic, just a darker shade of cool toned brown which is still not as cool (toned), as I wanted it to be. My natural colour is really cool toned, and I hate anything warm/reddish on myself. But I find that it is even harder to get a spot-on dark hair than blonde (I was blonde for several years).
After hours of
A lot of readers told me that they love reading personal posts, so here is one, for a change. This time it’s 10 random beauty facts about me, but next time I can write random facts about myself. I love reading those about people that I follow, so maybe that is something you’d like to read about me, too.
So, here we go 🙂
1. Recently I have been loving only red(ish) nail polishes, I even wrote a feature about it. Whenever I put on something else, it feels “wrong”. In fact, I am giving away some of my varnishes to one girl I know who is very into nail art.
2. Although I have tonnes of eye pencils and liners, 90% of the time I will use Lancome’s Le Crayon Khol in Brun Noir. For me – it is perfection.
3. I am
almost useless when it comes to hair styling. A good friend of mine is a hair stylist, and she showed me different ways to style my hair, and gave me so many tips. It looks so easy when she does it, but when I try – the results are not even close.
4. Most of the time I just wash my hair with a shampoo and use several drops of oil through the ends. Yes, I don’t like conditioners, and rarely use hair masks. When I am in the mood, I can use SachaJuan’s Ocen Mist, but then my (male) friends tell me that I need to brush it. Is it a myth that men like “I just got out of bed hair”? Hmmm
I don’t really style my hair… Some of you probably are thinking “WHAT?!” now, but it’s true. (Don’t worry, I am working on my hair routine now and when I figure out what’s best for me – will definitely share) . I don’t use a hair dryer unless I really need to, as well.
But several months ago I’ve decided to buy a curling wand (should really write about it) so I thought that it would make sense to get a heat protect spray, too.
When I’ve asked for your recommendations on Twitter, a lot of people turned out to be fans of GHD Style Heat Protect Spray, so I had to give it a go.
I have nothing to compare with one with but
