Revisited: If You Could Use Only 3 Makeup Products

I was browsing Makeup4all the other day, and stumbled across this post from 2010. The point was to choose only three products I could use for my makeup. I was actually surprised by my choices, so thought I would do the same thing six years later.

If You Could Use Only 3 Makeup Products revisited mascara eye liner and blusher

So here is what I would go for and why:

Eye liner (ArtDeco Long Lasting Liquid Liner 01 Black)

I just have to have some kind of definition for my eyes, black liquid eye liner or a brown eye pencil, or even some eye shadows. But if I could use only one product- that would be this. These days I am loving ArtDeco, but there are lots of other nice ones I like.

Sparkling Eye Liners I Am Loving

My favourite beauty product over the holidays was definitely Illamasqua’s Ore pigment, a glittery bronze which is so-so gorgeous, I highly recommend. But, besides the shimmering eye shadow, I’ve re-discovered some of my festive-appropriate eye liners. And my top two were:

Sparkling Eye Liners I Am Loving Illamasqua and Rouge Bunny Rouge

Rouge Bunny Rouge Quartz Eyeliner Devotion Ink in Tanzanite Essence (review and swatches)

Illamasqua Precision Ink in Wisdom (review and swatches)

They are just  extremely beautiful. Both are easy to control, have a gorgeous sparkling effect and nice pigmentation.  Wisdom is described as

Hourglass Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner Review and Swatches

So here is the first Hourglass product that I am going to review. It is a Calligraphy Liquid Eye Liner.

It is a “refined felt-tip precision eye liner designed to create striking, defined eyes without tug or skip.”  This is a best selling products from the brand (along with their primer and foundation).

Now I do love my Illamasqua Precision Inks but these from Hourglass have a different applicator so it’s a different story.

What do I like about this product:

The best thing is that it’s easy to apply it! It has a precise and steady applicator so it’s unlikely that you will make a mess. I use mine to draw a very precise line as close to my eye lashes as I can to get that defined look. I usually just draw a very fine line.

It’s waterproof and

Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss and Alchemy. Review and Swatches

I’ve already posted a preview of Illamasqua’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection Art of Darkness and I told you that you can already get their Precision Ink for £16.50 at the Illamasqua website.

I always love to read how Illamasqua describes their products:

“Create looks with attitude that no one can ignore. Precision Ink’s fine tip allows for defined application. Long-lasting and waterproof its perfect for use anywhere on the face and body to bring out your bold side.  Available in deepest black, Abyss, and antique gold, Alchemy, the waterproof formula dries in seconds and stays true for hours.”

These are absolutely amazing, I love everything about them!

The colours are great, one can never have to many black liners as for the gold one – it’s very beautiful and I didn’t have a similar gold liner before (what a shame). And the colours are very pigmented, beautiful rich shades.

It’s easy to apply the liner with such  applicator. Even if you are not confident with liquid liners you can still try this one.

These stay on FOREVER, I mean it! Precision Ink stays on for
