Christmas/New Year holidays – the season for some glamorous and festive makeup! I am personally not exactly a fan of glitter and shimmer but I don’t mind a bit of it on such occasion.
Luckily, beauty brands offer tonnes of appropriate products to choose from.
If you are feeling brave you can re-create the look from the promo image from the new Make Up For Ever’s collection – A Midnight Dream.
If that is too much, go for a subtle version of it, several crystal would be enough.

Includes 8 eye shadows, 6 shades are new and are Diamond Eye Shadows. 2 “It Shades” Gun Metal and Gold Pink, 4 soft cool colours – Midnight Purple, Snow White, Icy blue and Icy pink.

I’ve been wanting to try Make Up For Ever Aqua Creams for a long time now. So when I had an opportunity to visit Make Up For Ever boutique back in July I was very excited.
I am actually very impressed with myself because I’ve managed to leave the store with only one product and it was Aqua Cream in shade # 5 which is a peach with golden shimmer.
Just like a lot of other Make Up For Ever products, you can use this one in so many different ways and this is what I love about it so much.
It work greats on the lips. The good thing is that you can get different shades by applying one or more layers. I personally loved it with one layer gently patted with my fingers, otherwise it looks too metallic for my taste.
I’ve also used it on my cheeks but I find that the glitter is too obvious so I won’t be using it as a blush on myself. But you may love it – so give it a go. It is a bit similar to Orgasm by NARS but Orgasm has more pink to it and less shimmer.
I have got these eye shadows last May so I am not sure why I am writing about them only now. But it is better late then never. Rejoice lovers of bright summer makeup looks as this post is for you!
I have picked my shadows at US Sephora for $19 each (they cost £14.95 in the UK).
The shades that I have chosen are:
- Yellow 2 (matte brilliant yellow)
- Orange Coral Matte 5 (matte vibrant coral)
- Apple Green 91 (matte bright yellow green)
And I would love even more shades for e.g Neon Pink 75 (bright fuchsia pink), Turquoise Matte 72 (matte vibrant turquoise), Matte Blue 159, Purple 92 (matte brilliant purple) and many, many more.
I know that a lot of people are scared of such colours but there is no reason to be! I find that if the rest of your face is natural you can easily pull off any of the shades that I have. I love encouraging my friends to try bold colours and I would love to encourage my readers as well! After all, it is just makeup and you can always take it off!
This is how the eye shadows look like in the pans.
So now I will tell you about each shade in more details and will
Make Up For Ever launches (or already launched in some case) several new exciting products this Spring and I’ve picked those that I personally want to try.
First of all there are new Aqua Liners in 15 shades (from gold to green and from turquoise to burgundy) which are launching soon and I’ve scanned a promo image for you to enjoy.
It looks like it has the same applicator as the amazing Precision liners from Illamsqua which I like so much so I would really love to take a look at those. Plus aming 15 colours I am sure there is a shade for everyone. But I am personally thinking about green or turquoise.
There other product that I would like to try is the Color Cream which is described as an
While the fall 2010 collection by MUFE was all about the glamour, red and black and the holiday collection was all about the ROCK this collection is for the girly girls who love everything cute and pink.
The collection was inspired by Brigitte Bardot and is called Tres Vichy.
Seems like “Bardot style” will be a hot trend for this Spring but it seems that people are never tired of seeing more of her!
So the collection includes:
Star Powder Diamond
- Crystal White
