Unfortunately, drugstore mascaras don’t do that much for me, with the exception from Max Factor. I remember how I would save for my favourite 2000 Calories ages ago. And I still love good ol’ Max Factor when it come to mascaras. I think they do amazing ones.
This is why I was excited to try their newest offering – Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara (£12.99) from Boots and Superdrug .
I think this is easily one of the best mascaras I have ever used. In fact, I think it is revolutionary! What is so special about it, you may ask?
First of all, it gives great volume. It has the same type of brush, as the famous False Lash Effect mascara, thick plastic with small bristles. My lashes are thin and short, and I can definitely tell the difference.
But that is not all! The most exciting part is the ultra black lacquer on the other side. From my experience lengthening mascaras usually have similar brushes. This lacquer adds intense uber black colour and gloss to the lashes, without clumping them, which is very important.
Plus it is much faster than painting each lash with Hourglass’ Lash Lacquer.
I also love the fact that the lacquer helps to keep mascara in place. I have very sensitive eyes which are often watering, so if I don’t use my must have, which is Anastasia’s Lash Genius, I usually end up with mascara all over my face, unless it’s waterproof. And it doesn’t happen with Max Factor Excess Volume Extreme Impact Mascara!
Anyway, I think that if you want impressive volume, and glossy black lashes – this is a great product to try. I personally have been using only it ever since I was sent a sample to try.
I really wanted to include the photo of how it looks like on the lashes, but out of all the photos I took, none looks good enough. And I don’t want to give you false impression.
Youn make me curious to check it out, it sounds lovely!
Gio, it IS!
Oooo I’m curious now to! Is this a new release? Aus is always behind in these things, so I hope it comes out soon here!
Yes, it is! It came out only recently. Definitely check it out, when it’s released in Australia 🙂
