I am a huge fan of shimmer body oils for summer and have been for a while. Why? Simply because they make your skin look polished. And don’t worry, you will not end up looking like a greasy disco ball, shimmer oil for your body is like highlighter for your face. It just makes everything look dewy and glowing, in a good way. Not to mention that it’s not only a visual effect, as the ingredients in your oil will moisturise, soften and smooth the skin.
While I still remain a huge fan of Omorovicza, you don’t have to spend €70 on it, while it is worth it, in my opinion. So here are three body shimmer oils which caught my attention this summer.
One is brand new, one was around for some time, and the third one just got some new LE shades. Let’s take a look.
SOL DE JANEIRO Glowmotions, £35/ $35 (75ml ) from Cult Beauty and Sephora.
I really loved the Bum Bum cream so would expect these to be incredible, as well. There are two shades in the line: Rio Sunset and Copacabana Bronze. But there are 3 new LE shades to choose from: Samba Sway (Natural Sun-kissed Glow), Goldie Rocks (Pop Icon Golden Glow), Master Flash (Hip Hot Kaleidoscope Glow). They smell of notes of wild fig and Brazilian gardenia and look so so cute. I will get one after I am done with this Clarins.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Shimmer Body Oil, (45 ml) £43 from Cult Beautyand $38 from Sephora.
While Sol de Janeiro oils look cute, this one is pure luxury, as it comes in a glass bottle and looks very posh. Scented with coconut and vanilla. And let’s take a moment to appreciate the promo image.
Finally, there is Frank Body Magic Shimmer Oil ( 80ml ) for £16.95 from Cult Beauty and Amazon
This is not a new product but it’s a great value for money, and I bet it will be great, I loved the coffee body scrub and after a quick browse can tell that there are quite a few gems to choose from.
