Finally I am writing about my 2013 favouries. You can read about my 2012 makeup favourites here.
But there are quite a few products that I want to mention, so I’ve decided to divide it into several posts, not to make it too long.
So the first part is about makeup products for the face. And I did not want to include a product in each category, but wanted to mention the products that stood out to me.
The last thing that I have to mention – I have dry sensitive skin, and the age group is 25-30.
Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream SPF 25 (review)
This was the BB cream of the year for me. The base that I wore almost all the summer, it was a great match for my tanned skin. It feels light on the skin and gives a medium coverage, plus smells really nice.
Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer (review)
At first I wasn’t a huge fan of this product, but now I use it whenever my skin needs some glow and luminosity, and there is no need for the highlighter. It gives a very good coverage for a TM, I personally don’t even need a concealer.
BECCA Luminous Skin Colour Ultra-Sheer Foundation SPF 25+ (review)
This is a discovery of the year. This foundation gives a very light coverage and has an almost fluid texture, so suitable for the days when your skin looks nice but you want to even out the complexion.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Moisturiser Sketches on Water (review)
If I could keep only one “base” – this would be it. It’s my absolute favourite. It looks like a second skin, gives a light coverage but it is like a “perfector” in a bottle. Plus it never enhances the dry patches I may have.
Clarins Instant Concealer (review)
I’ve noticed that a lot of people love this concealer and it’s not surprising. It has a light and non-greasy texture but at the same time gives a good coverage. Plus it gives a brightening under-eye effect, and who doesn’t want that?
Rouge Bunny Rouge’s Flawless face Powder Precious Velvet in Piano Forte
I hardly ever use powders on myself, but when I do – it’s always this one. It is non-drying and never looks cakey but sets the makeup and makes the face, where needed, shine-less.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl (review)
It’s the love of my [highlighter] life. Ever since Lisa Eldridgre recommended it to me years again, I’ve been a huge fan. It gives a gorgeous luminous glow without any shimmer.
I could never pick just one blush, so I’ve chosen three which was easy, since these are really the best for me.
Powder blush – Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush For Love of Roses in Florita (review). Although I prefer cream blushers on myself, this one is finely milled, blends beautifully and the colour is gorgeous, it brightens the face.
Cream blush – BECCA Cream Blush in Amaryllis (review). Yes, again this blush, but I just can’t help myself. Nice formula, perfect shade, great lasting power, among other things.
Affordable blush – Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush (review). I have two shades but would like to have them all. Non-greasy, easy to blend and natural looking.
YSL Terre Saharienne Bronzing Powder (review)
I am not exactly a bronzer-lover but this is the one I’ve used quite a lot this year, in warmer months, when I had tan. It does have some shimmer but it looks nice on the face, plus I like that it’s not muddy or too orange. Note to self – find a good contouring product in 2014!
Stay tuned to the next parts, and I’d love to read about your favourites, too.
