By Terry Ligne Black Star is probably my favourite black eye liner. And I am also the biggest fan of the pencils from the brand. This is why I would love to share about Crayon Khol in 2 Brown Stellar.
I like this pencil so much that after I’ve lost mine a few weeks after getting it (how do you even do that?) I had to get a new one straight away.
So why is it so special?
It is really long-lasting. The kohl stays on all day on me. But, at the same time, the formula is really soft, it glides on without dragging the skin. You can blend the product and create beautiful smoky eyes. Just do it quickly, before it sets!
In addition to great formula, it’s also a beautiful colour. It’s quite a dark brown with micro shimmer. As a result – you will never get that flat one-dimensional finish. Just add some mascara, if you wish, and you’ve got yourself an easy-but-impressive makeup.
Here is a swatch of the eye pencil next to Charlotte Tilbury’s Colour Chamelion in Amber Haze and Urban Decay 24/7 in Bourbon. Brown Stellar is in the middle.
In other words, if you want to get yourself a long-lasting and easy to use pencil – this is a great option. Terrybly is brilliant for when you are not in the mood for an intense black but want something deeper than a mid-toned brown.
Yet another exceptional product from the brand. Big thumbs up from me!
About time for me to write about my Winter 2020 favourites. If you want to check out my Autumn favourites, here they are.
So which products stood out to me beauty, style, books and shows wise?
Let’s start with makeup, as there are just a few products in this category:
YSL Touche Eclat, £26 from John Lewis, Harrods, Selfridges and Nordstrom. Touch Eclat needs no introduction, I’ve lost my count on how many of these I’ve used up. It has that a light-reflective effect which makes you look fresher; the formula is not heavy or detectable on the skin.
This is such a brilliant highlighter, it is more on the glowing side but without being over-the-top. Exactly the kind of product you would expect from Queen Tilbury. It gives you that incredible polished look.
Rouge Bunny Rouge new Glassy Gloss (review and swatches)
I wore quite a few of the new RBR glosses, I wrote a detailed review about them. Can be worn sheer stain-like or opaque and glossy. The one I chose for this feature is Berry Sorbet, a creamy opaque berry pink. For me it’s “my lips but better” kind of shade.
Burberry Cat Lashes Mascara, £24 from Burberry
Soft and flexible brush allows you to layer and built up the effect. I find it to be giving great result, elongating the lashes, opening up the eye and lasting all day long (on me at least).
byTerry Ligne Blackstar in So Black (review and swatches)
A long-time favourite. Intense, ultra black, long-lasting and
It is always exciting to share about the favourite beauty products of the whole year, and I have been doing so for a while, here is a look back to 2018.
When I was thinking about the favourite beauty products of 2019, I had to look back at:
And, although I had an idea of of the products I wanted to include this made it even easier. Now, most of the products I have written in details about, so I will link to those posts.
1 Darphin Intral Environmental Lightweight Shield SPF 50, ( Space NK, John Lewis ) probably the best city spf I’ve ever used. Lightweight and slightly tinted, it is not greasy or oily at all, gives you that healthy glow and protects the skin. Darphin is one of my favourite beauty brands in general, and this product is not an exception.
2. Annick Goutal Rose Pompon Perfume, from Harrods and Bergdorf. It has the notes of Bulgarian rose essence, taïf rose, peony, blackcurrent, rasberry, pink pepper, woody cedar, patchouli and white musk. And it is just my dream scent, I never want to be without it, ever.
You must be shocked, right? Rose candles and I… Linked above you can see a few that I’ve enjoyed the most this year. Need MORE!
4. Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift Concealer (review and swatches).
Brilliant product: not heavy, doesn’t sit in the fine lines, makes you look fresh and not so tired. Isn’t it what we all want?
5. The Balm Balm Desert, £17.50 here
Not only it has been featured in 2018 but also in 2017, it is my hands down, favourite cheek product, I just use a big fluffy brush to give my face some definition and to warm it up. Balm Desert is in the middle.
6. Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush
I love discovering new brands, and also products at great prices, this is why I am excited to collaborate with Cosmetify today.
It is a brilliant service with over 200,000 products from different brands and retailers. And you get pretty much everything: makeup, skincare, fragrances and beauty accessories. You name it.
I’ve already mentioned why I liked the experience with Cosmetify briefly, but let’s take a more detailed look.

As you can see,
Ladies (and gentlemen), let me introduce the best eye liner I have ever used. I love my black eye liners, and I am very picky about them, and ByTerry Ligne Blackstar just ticked all the boxes!
I have actually included it in the my top makeup products of 2018.
I’ve actually bough this eye liner without reading any reviews, as I was expecting exceptional quality from such a high end brand, and it did not disappoint. Everything about this liner is incredible.
The slick and beautiful metallic design, the very user-friendly nib and the formula. The shape of the tip is perfect, I have actually included a photo comparison with other products. It is so easy to achieve the line you wish, both thin and precise or fierce and bold!
The formula is
